Dear President-Elect Obama,
I didn't vote for you, because I did not think you had the experience to lead our country. However, I will support you as you come into office at one of the most challenging times in my lifetime. I wish you well and hope that you meant what you said about "change." We all need change to get us on a better road.
I hope you will address the economy. As someone who has been without a job for almost a year, I worry about my health care and other bills. Extending unemployment for those who have exhausted their benefits is important for me. So is affordable health care.
I also think you should push to delay the digital television conversion. So many people can't afford cable television now and the certificates for the converter boxes are delayed. You must delay the conversion until everyone can get a converter.
Medicare and social security must remain solvent and provide much needed services to our senior citizens on a fixed budget.
Please remember that you are a role model. No scandals please!
